Tata Chemicals, which at present holds around a 37 per cent market share in the edible salt market, is planning to manufacture hi-grade specialised industrial salt to cater to the needs in chemical process in various Middle-East countries. It is also planning to come out with the national roll-out of ‘Samunder’ branded edible salt, which is currently being experimentally marketed at select towns in Tamil Nadu.
