Tata Chemicals bags Nine ABCI awards
Mumbai, January 14, 2008

The Tata Chemicals Corporate Communications Department won Nine awards at the 47th Annual Awards of the ABCI (Association of Business Communicators of India). The company won eight gold and one bronze in various category.

The ABCI Annual Awards are designed to promote excellence in all areas of written and visual business communications. The purpose is to recognise the best in corporate communications. Organisations all over India participate in the competition. Tata Chemicals has emerged a winner from over 550 entries in 40 different categories.

Mr. Sujit Patil, Head - Corporate Communication TCL conferred 'Promising Business Communicator of the year' at the 47th ABCI Awards

Mr. Sujit Patil, TCL, has been conferred with 'Promising Business Communicator of the year' award in elite awards category at the ABCI Awards ceremony held on 11th January 08.

An Eminent Jury chaired by Mr. M. R. Chandurkar, MD, IPCA Laboratories, Mr. Bharatkumar Raut, Editor, Maharashtra Times, A Times of India Publication in Marathi and Dr. G. C. Banik, National Professor, PR & Communications, UGC, selected him as the First Awardee of Promising Business Communicator for the year, under the elite categories of the awards.

Some of the other winners in the elite categories were Mr. Shivnath Thukral, NDTV for business journalism, Ms. Bhavani, Dir. Information and PR, Govt. of Singapore (Global communicator), Dr. Anil Khandelwal, CMD of Bank of Baroda (Financial communication).
